If you're planning to get a pet for Christmas, do your homework first. Don't go by your ego. Go by your lifestyle. I don't care if it's a goldfish. Get a book or on the internet and learn what you are planning to get. Remember this pet that will be part of you and your family's life. Some of these pets will last from 5 yrs to 100 yrs. Depending what you are going to get. If you're active get an active pet. If you are a lazy bum then get a less active pet. If you don't have the time, well don't get anything at all. Volunteer a rescue group and do dog walking on your spare time.
Also if planning to get a pet try to adopt first. There's to many pets in a shelter that needs a home. Try to adopt. I mean isn't that what Christmas is all about?
